STAR IT & Support desk recently joined a Color Line Crew on a workshop for experience feedback and learning.

Star Information Systems aims to consistently deliver the best operational support to our customers. Understanding our customer’s wants and needs is thus an essential part of our IT and Support team’s competence.

Learning by doing

Together with Color Line, our team embarked with the crew onboard Color Fantasy on their journey between Oslo and Kiel. The workshop included dedicated discussions with different disciplines on board. During three engaging days, our team was given a unique understanding of how the crew uses the STAR EAM System. As well as helpful feedback on improvements of processes in the software.

The workshop with end-users on board gave us a valuable opportunity to clear out how to handle tech support that STAR has taken over. Further, we got valuable insights into how to aim for the future with CLM goals for standardization.

And, of course, a closer relationship with STAR as our maintenance system partner.”


Continuous improvement

It is an integral part of our knowledge enhancement to engage with our customers to succeed. A close and open relationship with our customers allows for safer, smarter, and more efficient working methods.

Talking with the Color Line crew about using the STAR software onboard was very useful for both teams. The users could raise issues directly that they might not have done via email while the STAR consultants got the chance to observe the “live” workflow.

STAR Analytics and data quality

This workshop with Color Line equipped us with a better overall understanding of their daily tasks and challenges. Topics discussed on the STAR EAM System included software for maintenance, logistics, and procurement, focusing on increased efficiency and security. One of the future goals is to secure improved and clean data quality, enabling insight dashboards in STAR Analytics for Color Line to foster a data-driven mentality and decisions in the above areas.
