Star Maintenance is designed to assist onboard personnel in planning ship maintenance, report work done, keep stock and handle supplies. The system integrates with other Star modules to ensure safe and efficient vessel operation.
Star Maintenance facilitates detailed work instructions ensuring maintenance work is carried out in accordance with company and industry regulations. Maintenance jobs are displayed in a maintenance board for the vessel, making it easy to attain the full overview of upcoming, due and overdue jobs.
Stock and supplies
Star Maintenance enables vessel crew to control stock and plan replenishment. Material requisitions are created and issued directly to a vendor or to the purchasing department. When materials are received onboard, receipt and deviations are registered into the system for follow-up.
Built in compliance
Star Maintenance is guaranteed to be in compliance with all maritime and standards organizations. The system is type approved by DNV and approved by most class societies; ensuring all work is in compliance with internal and external regulations. For example, Star Maintenance records change logs for all job changes, NOx certificate numbers are controlled, and filters can be used to specifically track critical equipment.
Star Maintenance’s graphical user interface facilitates easy learning, understanding and usage. Wizards and terminology used in the system can be configured to match company and industry standards.
Star Maintenance can be used as a stand-alone solution or in interaction with an office based hub for fleet management. Data from the vessel is replicated to the hub using SIS’ highly reliable replication engine. When used in the office, Star Maintenance provides a full overview of the fleet maintenance, including detailed information for each vessel. Maintenance routines, instructions and equipment details can be updated and distributed to multiple vessels, and internal messaging and notifications facilitate for knowledge sharing.
