Come join us for the SIS User Conference 2009!

SIS User Conference 2009 approaches!

The 2009 SIS User Conference at the Meliã Madrid Princesa Hotel in Madrid approaches and the SIS staff is both excited and proud of what will be presented at this year's conference.

This year's conference program aims to be both informative and inspiring. The main focus for the SIS User Conference is of course to provide our customers with valuable information about the Star systems and services, and to open for feed-back and comments on how we can best meet our customers' needs. However, we would also like the conference to be inspiring and new-thinking.

During the recent year we have seen many rig companies choosing the Star systems. Due to this we have in this year's program tried to cover issues concerning both shipping and offshore customers, opening an arena where the two industries can meet and learn from each other.

In the Maintenance program we have the option to split workshops into shipping and offshore groups, but we might as well choose to stay as one group to learn from each other's experiences.
In the Fleet Supply & Logistics program we have set up various workshops, such as Warehousing and Managing Dangerous Goods, which should be of interest to both shipping and offshore customers.

In addition to many interesting presentations and workshops, we have also invited external guest speakers to "enlighten" us through their knowledge and experiences. Issues such as electronic material catalogues, lean purchasing and logistics, and consequences to mismanaging dangerous goods are some of this year's presentations not to be missed.

All over, the annual SIS User Conference represents an excellent opportunity to expand your overall knowledge of the Star systems, engaging in learning sessions, discussions and workshops. In addition it brings you available networking opportunities and the possibility of participating in social activities.

For those of you who have not registered for this year's conference we still have Trude Bolstad, Project Manager - SIS UC 2009some places left. Registration closes at Friday October 9th at 8:pm CET.

We wish you a safe trip to Madrid and look forward to seeing you at the conference!
