SIS continues to grow!
The shipping industry has been through tough times lately, and many companies have declared bankrupt since the financial crisis came upon us. Some however sees the consequences of the crisis not as merely negative, but as a healthy clean-up within an industry that has been lucrative for many years.
Star Information Systems (SIS) has felt the crisis, but instead of damaging our business, the crisis has made many shipping and offshore companies realize the importance of good systems for managing their fleet in an efficient manner. 2010 has so far proved a very good year for SIS, and our business continues to grow both in terms of contracts and employees!
In January this year a new COO came onboard to manage the SIS Operations department, and during the spring we have also welcomed new consultants to this department. We have strengthened our Research and Development department with three new employees, and we're also seeking for skilled employees in the areas of Software Architecture / Scrum, Software Development, ICT Operation and Software Support, Project Management, QHSE Management, and Sales.
In October SIS we will arrange the SIS User Conference for the 9th time, this year on beautiful Malta, where we're inviting both new and long term customers for 4 days of conference and networking.
