Norwegian Training Center- Manila (NTC) and Star Information Systems sign an agreement of cooperation.
NTC will arrange regularly training courses for SIS fleet and ship management systems in the training center in Manila.
The Norwegian Training Center-Manila (NTC-M) was established by the Norwegian Ship-owners Association (NSA) in order to provide relevant upgrading training for Filipino seafarers serving on the ships of its members. NTC-M came into operation in February 1990.
NTC has extensive experience with training on different maintenance systems. SIS has installed a full training package and has been in Manila for training of course instructors.
The training course will take three days and give students a practical, “daily user” training on the system. It is possible to tailor the training to different needs and rules from different shipping companies.
According to Project Manager Helge Oliversen at NTC is it of great interest from SIS customers and NTC itself to always have an updated portfolio of all new systems used in ship management at the training center.
