Star Document
Star Document is a system for handling of documents, forms and reports on board, on shore and between ships and shore. The system is designed to help fleet & ship management to:
issue & handle documents - handle certificates
- linking photos & images to reports, etc
- standardize procedures across the fleet
- administer forms and form data required for ship operation
- generate reports to the different managerial levels
- replicate data between ship and shore
Star Document is used to standardize document handling throughout the company.
Star Document holds a library of forms and reports that are normal in vessel operation. The system can present scanned documents, video recordings, images, cad drawings, forms, documents, graphical reports, etc.
If Star Document is expanded with other operative modules, the forms are often linked to jobs and filled in together with work done reports. It is here possible to report trends of measurements taken over time. Other forms are applied in vessel operation and port/ terminal relations.
Reports are available to meet the requirements of cost control, inventory control, consumption analysis and requirements of authorities, IMO, ISO, and the classification society.
Special forms and reports may be tailor-made according to customers’ specification.
